Since commencing his legal career in 1997, the firm’s founding partner, Peter Papagianakis, has practiced law exclusively in the area of business contracts and transactions. His experience has been as an attorney for a national law firm and a Manhattan-based law firm and as senior counsel for a NYSE-listed company where he was responsible for SEC reporting and corporate and capital market transactions. The range of Peter’s experience includes the representation and counseling of public companies, as well as the representation and counseling of private companies from inception to IPO and beyond.
Peter graduated magna cum laude from his law school alma mater (Florida State University College of Law) and his undergraduate alma mater (Carnegie Mellon University). In addition to being licensed to practice law in New York, Peter is licensed in Florida–where he practiced law for three years.
In addition to practicing law, Peter (1) served on the Board of Directors of NYS-based multi-state property and casualty insurance company and (2) has taught the following courses for various graduate and undergraduate university programs in New York: (i) Business Law/Commercial Transactions, (ii) Law of Business Organizations, (iii) Negotiation Skills, (iv) Microeconomics, (v) Macroeconomics, (vi) Investing in Mutual Funds, and (vii) Investing in Stocks and Bonds.
Before law school, Peter worked for two years as an Assistant Bank Examiner with the Miami Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and for one year as an Assistant Economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. In addition, he passed the Level I examination of the Chartered Financial Analyst program.
